About Us
Our journey began back in 2002 in Ft Myers, Florida. Our 3 kids were still young and we had been without a family pet for a while. We decided it was time to add a four legged family member. My husband, TIm, grew up with dachshunds while i was raised with Old English Sheepdogs. We visited the local pet store..Tim wanting a dachshund and the kids wanting a black lab. We compromised and got both!
Shortly after taking Westley, our original short haired wild boar, he got very sick with pneumonia and we almost lost him., We nursed him back to health and i thought it would be a wonderful experience for us a family to have one litter of dachshunds.
And from there the rest is history!
Once i started researching the breed and the traits, colors, patterns, etc, I was hooked !
We currently raise long hairs and short hairs. We have most colors and patterns, including dapples, piebalds, creams, reds, chocolates and even have imports from Russia and South Africa.
We carefully plan each litter and strive to stay within breed standards and continue to improve the lineage this way. I am always present at every birth and and our puppies are always born and raised in our house. They get constant attention and hands on to assist in socialization of a happy and healthy puppy.
All of our dogs and puppies are AKC registered and we are in very good standings with AKC.
All pups receive age appropriate vaccinations and deworming and are vet checked before going home. They also have a one year health guarantee against anything hereditary/ congenital that would be life threatening.
We like to keep in contact with our extended dachshund family and always welcome them to keep us posted on how pup is doing and send pics often ! we continue to be available to our customers after pup goes home to assist with any questions they may have.
